Dave A. Ringer, MD, CPE, FAAFP, is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia with a Doctor of Medicine. Before attending medical school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia. Dr. Ringer completed his residency at Anniston Family Practice at the University of Alabama, and later received an Executive Certificate in Business Management from John Hopkins University.
Dr. Ringer is board certified by the American Board of Medicine, the American Board of Physician Executives, and the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care, granting him the title of Certified Medical Director. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Ringer owned Family Medical Associates of Lake Oconee for 22 years before joining his practice with TenderCare Clinic. Dr. Ringer now serves as the Chief Executive Officer for TenderCare Clinic, sees patients in local nursing homes, rotates as a hospitalist at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, and sees patients at the Lake Oconee office one day a week. He also works as the Chief of Staff at St. Mary’s GSH, the Medical Director for many local nursing homes, and an Assistant Professor of Community Medicine at the Mercer School of Medicine and the Augusta University-University of Georgia Medical Partnership.
Dr. Ringer is married to Kayleen Ringer and has six children: Andrew (Alison), Josh (Bailey), Isaac (Laura), Abbie (Josh), Ruthie, and Khady, and four grandchildren: Henry, Max, Margaret, and William. He is active in his community as well. He serves as the president of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, and is the team doctor for Gatewood Schools.
